About Me

I am a Lecturer in Public Law and Human Rights at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. My research focuses on liberty of conscience and religious freedom; constitutionalism and constitutional review; and the theoretical foundations of human rights.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Advanced Japanese Studies) and a Bachelor of Laws (with first class honours and the university medal for first place in graduating cohort) from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a PhD in Law (passing without corrections and awarded a Yorke Prize for thesis of exceptional quality) from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

In addition to my academic work, I enjoy creative writing, photography and recording music. My novel The Views is available on Amazon. I take photos around the world. And my music can be heard on YouTube, Spotify and other services.
